Preparing Veterans for a Smooth Transition

Our LIFE Transitional Housing Program for Veterans is meticulously designed to be a safe, drug and alcohol-free environment. Strategically located in North San Diego, we extend our services to both male and female Veterans. A key criterion for eligibility in our program is a demonstrated commitment to sobriety, with candidates required to have maintained a clean and sober lifestyle for a period of 90 to 120 days prior to admission.

By providing a stable and supportive environment, we aim to empower these brave men and women to transition smoothly into civilian life, fostering independence and resilience. Our team works to ensure that these Veterans receive the care, respect, and support they deserve, helping them rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.

Through this initiative, Wounded Warrior Homes can proudly provide a total of 5,475 nights of housing, offering a safe place for Veterans struggling with the challenges of homelessness. But 2023 marked a significant milestone for us. We broadened the scope of our service by including female veterans in our program, which was a crucial step in ensuring women too have a safe harbor in their time of need.

How Our Program is Impacting the Lives of Our Warriors

At Wounded Warrior Homes, we are deeply committed to supporting those who have served our nation. Our program offers transitional housing and re-integrative support services, specifically designed for recently separated veterans with service-connected disabilities. We prioritize assisting veterans who have faced the rigors of combat and are now navigating severe financial situations, finding themselves in urgent need of stable housing.
